Roofers Installing Flat Roof

Metal Roof Installation:

Metal roofing has some really great benefits for your business. In comparison to conventional shingles, metal roofs generally can last a lot longer and withstand greater forces (water, wind, snow, fire). They also weigh a lot less than shingles and are much easier to install, resulting in a much quicker installation. The largest drawback is the metal roof cost- this type of roof will generally have a higher cost per square in comparison to shingles. However, the metal roof cost can pay for itself long-term when considering its durability!

TPO Roof Installation:

TPO Roofing (or thermoplastic polyolefin) is a single-ply roofing material. TPO roofing is one of the top choices for businesses as it is one of the cheapest materials available on the market today. This type of roofing material comes in white, so it helps to reduce heat buildup inside the building. Another benefit is that TPO roofs help break down a number of natural materials, which helps to prevent mildew and algae growth. The main disadvantage of this material is the lifespan – TPO roofs generally last up to 15 years before a replacement is needed.

EPDM Roof Installation:

EPDM roofing (or ethylene propylene diene terpolymer) is known in the roofing business as a “rubber roof”. This material is lightweight, cost-efficient, fire resistant, and easy to install. Since EPDM roofs are laid in large pieces, this leaves little room for seams – resulting in hardly any room for water to seep in. EPDM roofs are also able to withstand the UV rays from the sun, leading to a long life span (many rubber roofs installed in the 80’s are still in use today!) The main drawback for this roofing material is appearance – it generally does not look as appealing as other roofing materials.
